Shaws Wood Residential Care Home
Shaws Wood is a Residential Care Home for physically frail elderly and those with dementia, located in a quiet, pleasant residential area of Strood, in Medway, Kent.
Shaws Wood has purpose-built living space for 39 people in well-proportioned single rooms over two floors, with a choice of dining facilities and social space. We also have a Day Care Centre for people living with dementia who might be looking for care and company in the day on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week from 10am to 4pm.
Our mission is to provide excellent care respecting each person as an individual, supporting people of all or no faith to meet every physical, emotional and spiritual need.
The spirit of Shaws Wood is not easy to capture in print. We hope that this web site will give you a glimpse of the warm, happy and peaceful environment that our residents live in. We offer all residents, and their families, a friendly and welcoming home from home which provides a secure and supportive environment in which to live. We do not have set visitor times, friends and families are welcome at any time of the day or night.
We look to partner with relatives, friends and the local community, schools and churches to create a home in which our loved ones can still feel part of a community if not independently able to live in it.
